Hello Amit! Welcome to our website. I will try to help you.
The technique of the Nine Threads
Preparatory position – standing in an unstrained position called ziranshi.
The first three threads are called the Three Twisting.
The upper twisting is meant for warming up the muscles of the upper part of your body via twisting arm movements.
The upper twisting transforms into middle (the second thread) by pushing pelvis forward and arching backwards.
The third thread – lower twisting is the rotational motion in the lower part of a body due to oppositely directed swings with the arms and a leg.
Be careful:
all the movements should be intense but not abrupt. This is the general rule for all the threads. The fourth thread. Make a wrist-lock grip (hand heels should be pressed together.) Then turn out the wrist-lock and lift the straighten arms up. After that the warming-up of shoulder joints follows. When pushing your arms backwards you should put your head forward synchronically. Then stand on your tiptoes and throw back your head. After that return your head to the preparatory position and put your heels down on the ground. At this point you should feel a light shake (vibration.)
The fifth thread. Unclasp your fingers, bow and put down your unstrained arms. Then place your hands behind your back, clasp them in a wrist-lock grip and rock them back and forth. Then make several rocking with a turned out wrist-lock.
The sixth thread averts hunchback and corrects backbone in the thoracic section. Press your fists to the both sides of the backbone. The force should be directed forward and upward.
The seventh thread. Grip the soft tissues on both sides of lumbar spine with your forefingers and thumbs and try to extend the tissues slightly. Perform several of such movements down to the sacral bone.
The eights thread is the main thread in the complex and consists of three parts.
Part 1. Rolling out the spine and the neck.
Part 2. Big Stretch. It is based on oppositely directed stretching of the upper and the lower part of the body by stretching arms and legs.
Part 3. Full extending of the whole body.
The ninth thread consists of five parts.
Part 1. Rolling on your back.
Part 2. Relaxation of spine muscles.
Part 3. Reverse rolling out.
Part 4. Head rotation. Clockwise, then counterclockwise.
Part 5. Twisting in the sitting position.
Surely, this is a very rough explanation. You can always ask for details. Good luck!
